There are many game distributors out there, but few manage to bring fresh and popular titles to the market. Glyph acts as a simplified version of Valve's Steam, since, for example, it has all the download capabilities that Valve does, but it lacks the social or achievement tracking features. Similarly to Steam or Battle.Net, before you select a game for download, you are given a heads-up in the form of a message displaying how much disk space does the initial download occupy. Then, like other game downloaders, once you begin installing it you have a progress bar showing you the download progress and speed so that you can get a good idea how much more you have to wait before you can start playing.

Here you can check out the latest in-game sales, changelogs, in-game discussions and more, acting as a client-based forum for your games. One thing worth mentioning is Glyph's total lack of other social-related tools, including chat support, in-game payments and more, all of which can only be done by visiting the game's website via a web browser.

While lacking the sheer plethora of features that Steam has, Glyph is mainly aimed towards those hardcore fans of all things Trion Worlds who also prefer a more lightweight gaming platform.
