3089 Demo
A procedurally generated world filled with androids and massive robots awaits to be explored #Minecraft RPG #Solve Quest #Android Quest #Minecraft #RPG #Android
Although back in the day it was deemed impossible to create infinite game worlds, mainly due to the fact that the technology did not allow it and it would have taken a lot of time anyway, especially for the designers. The modern developers have come up with a solution to this conundrum, however, by making use of procedural algorithms to generate terrain, landscapes and all kinds of content.
3089 is a first-person shooter that takes advantage of this technology and provides you with an endless world filled with androids, robots and many other dangerous situations that put your survival skills to the test. On this strange alien planet, you must try to find allies, avoid being killed and increase your abilities, in order to advance further and further into the wild.
As previously mentioned, most of the game is procedurally generated, including, in a way, the story itself. There are quests and missions you can undertake from friendly robots roaming about the planet, but they are also randomly generated from a predefined task list. Thus, the plot is what you make of it yourself, since there really isn't anything to give you an idea about your destiny.
Although at a first glance the game may cause a few Minecraft flashbacks, the graphics engine is much better and the environments are smoother, with plenty of detail. Naturally, you should not expect anything too incredible, since the procedural algorithms certainly cannot come up with any architectural wonders or incredible landscapes. The alien planet is interesting enough, however, especially if you are into science fiction and you do not mind the lack of detail.
As far as the abilities are concerned, they range from basic melee and stealth skills, to slightly more interesting options involving all kinds of weapons and guns. Speaking of which, the items themselves are procedurally generated and spawned throughout the world, which means that there is always a better weapon somewhere, which should provide you with incentive to keep on playing.
All things considered, 3089 does provide you with a pretty long list of features and other mighty interesting things, most of which should keep you interested and occupied for a few hours. Moreover, the world Is practically endless and the monsters get increasingly more powerful as you move further and further away from the original spawn point.
