Heroes of Havoc: Idle Adventures

Video games may have been tough and unforgiving in the past, but the increasing number of players convinced the developers to make their games a bit more accessible to the masses. In fact, it’s gotten to a point where the casual market is just as big as the hardcore one, depending on your definition of casual. However, that’s not a bad thing at all as long as everyone has the right to choose.

Heroes of Havoc: Idle Adventures is a clicker game in which your goal is to collect items, defeat enemies and unlock more heroes to join your party. Obviously, the gameplay is as simple as it can get, given the fact that all you have to do is watch the screen or click on things every now and again. However, there’s a bit of strategy involved as well, especially when it comes to how you customize your party.

Hence, you start with a single hero, but you quickly get overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies you have to battle at once. Thus, adding a healer, a wizard, or some kind of ranged warrior helps a great deal, not to mention the fact that you can win the fight a lot quicker and easier. The whole party configuration is left up to you, although there’s not much to choose from in the beginning.

Although you can just watch the fights without interfering at all, you also have the option to click on the skills as quickly as possible to cast them faster. This can be rather stressful, especially since you can only concentrate on one skill at a time. On the other hand, you can take advantage of this and accelerate the healing rate, or deal as much damage as possible when things get tough.

Lastly, you can also find a variety of items along the way, each one of which comes with bonuses and special properties. These can then be equipped and worn into battle in order to increase your abilities. It’s a bit of a chore to keep shuffling the gear between battles, especially since quite a few clicks are required to be done with just one hero, let alone more than one.

Heroes of Havoc: Idle Adventures can easily eat up a few hours of your day if you have the necessary patience, but don’t expect too much complexity in the gameplay department. Thus, this is a game designed to be quick and rewarding, and the learning curve is more of a straight line instead.
