Destroy thousands of enemies and acquire epic items in this casual MMORPG with click-based mechanics #Multiplayer RPG #Clicker game #F2p MMO #MMO #RPG #Fantasy
It’s obviously not easy to develop an MMORPG, especially since it has to technically support thousands of players and be as balanced as possible to keep the people happy. The gameplay has to be engaging and refined, given the fact that it takes weeks or even months for the players to reach the end game content.
Dragon Blood is a basic MMORPG that does not really concern itself with things like that, since all it really wants is to keep your fingers busy while you think about something else. There is barely any story to follow, the gameplay can be entirely automated, and progress is achieved by simply watching the screen and occasionally clicking a few times to defeat enemies.
There are two classes and four characters to choose from, namely male/female warrior or male/female mage, but the differences are not that great gameplay-wise. Speaking of which, map exploration is done in real time, but the battles are turn-based, which is a bit of a bummer in this case. While turn-based combat mechanics usually allow you to devise clever strategies and tactics, this is not the case here at all, so the only outcome is more boredom.
Hernce, the battles are as straightforward as they can get, since the only thing you can do is use several abilities until all the enemies are dead. It’s not possible to select the desired foe when attacking, because everything is randomized, so there’s not much strategy involved anyway. Thankfully, the encounters are not particularly challenging either, so there’s no need to worry about losing or anything like that.
One of the most annoying things about the game is the fact that it comes with a sizeable collection of bugs and glitches, including visual annoyances that make it difficult to play sometimes. Whether your screen goes completely black during the battles or the environment forgets to load textures, there’s always something that’s not working as intended. Granted, the game is actually a ported browser version that still runs in Flash, so it’s no wonder it has all these problems.
In the end, Dragon Blood unfortunately not a very good game, since it doesn’t feature any engaging mechanics, and it also suffers from too many bugs. The pay-to-win element is very annoying as well, although at least you can ignore it completely if you do not mind losing to rich players.
