Zombie Smashers X3 Demo
Fight zombies and ninjas in a massive galaxy ruled by the war between the two races #Zombie Smashers #Zombie fight #Space sim #Zombie #Ninja #Pterodactyl
Since everyone agrees that space is a very big place, many weird things could hide out there in the darkness, and we wouldn’t be able to find out about their existence. We can imagine, on the other hand, which is why we have so many books, movies and video games on the subject. Whether it’s robots or vicious alien overlords, there’s always something lurking in a galaxy far away.
Zombie Smashers X3 is not a very serious video game, in the sense that not much of the story or the premise is believable. In fact, it is pretty clear that accuracy wasn’t the plan from the first few seconds, given the fact that the galaxy in question is populated by ninjas, cyborgs and zombies. Fun is guaranteed, on the other hand, at least if you are willing to deal with a few flaws along the way.
To begin with, the story is about as ridiculous as the rest of the premise. In short, the universe has been colonized left and right, which means that its inhabitants have grown tired of settling on planets. Instead, they roam around galaxies in spaceships, engaging in warfare and various other funny activities. Zombies and ninjas are at each other’s throat, and it’s up to the pterodactyl government to bring peace.
At the beginning of the campaign, the game allows you to choose one of multiple spaceships, each one of which looks and behaves differently. Their stats are unique as well, although you are allowed to add new parts over the course of the game and improve your ship as you see fit. However, don’t expect too much freedom either, because this is certainly not as complex as the X series, or any other similar franchises.
In fact, the game tries to be funny and relaxing, which means that there’s not much complexity when it comes to the missions or the ship customization. The graphics engine is cartoonish as well, featuring strong black lines and colorful shapes. The soundtrack is nothing out of the ordinary either, unless you do not mind the repetitive tunes for hours on end.
All things considered, Zombie Smashers X3 can be a good choice for those who want a simple and amusing space sim to fool around with. However, the silly parts can get annoying as well, at least if you happen to want more after a while.
