Tower Bloxx Deluxe Demo
Build a thriving city from the ground up in this casual and funny arcade game in which you have to build skyscrapers #Build tower #City builder #Puzzle game #Tower #Block #City
Skyscrapers are not easy to build at all, especially in areas where there already are a handful of them decorating the city skyline. A lot of manpower and materials are needed to erect new buildings, as well as quite the extensive planning beforehand. In essence, if anything goes too wrong during the construction phase, things can end very ugly for the company that contracted the project.
Tower Bloxx Deluxe is a fun arcade game in which you have to build a thriving city using your skills as an architect, although you do not really need to know anything about constructions. In essence, the gameplay is based on skill and timing, so you need to pay attention to certain cues and learn how to exploit them. Thus, each tower is comprised of a number of sections, which need to be placed on top of each other as neatly as possible.
These pieces are dropped with a crane, and they move randomly from side to side. In order to place them, you have to click on the section at the right moment. Depending on how it lands, you can receive bonus points and make it easier to place the rest of the pieces on top. However, if one of them is unbalanced, the entire structure starts to oscillate, which makes it even more difficult for you.
In order to keep the gameplay fresh for longer, a couple of different skyscrapers are available, which are gradually unlocked as you manage to beat level after level. Although you start with simple ten-story apartment blocks, you quickly get to unlock office buildings of up to thirty stories, as well as a lot more than that. Naturally, it gets significantly more difficult to balance the taller buildings, so it’s not all fun and games.
As far as the technical aspect is concerned, the game features a good-looking 3D engine for the building part of the gameplay, and a cartoony 2D perspective for everything else. The 3D looks more than decent for a title of this caliber, although the models and the environments are a tad repetitive. The physics engine feels satisfying as well, although it is obviously not realistic.
When it’s all said and done, Tower Bloxx Deluxe is quite original in most regards, and it is mighty fun to play, at least for a while. There’s enough content to keep you busy for a while, not to mention the fact that the levels are replayable as well.
