Super Granny 5 is a fun little platformer that allows you to experience the joy of owning hundreds of cats, without having to deal with all the responsibility. In essence, the goal of the game is to help an old lady rescue her cats that have escaped into the backyard, while avoiding the nasty monsters and all the other traps waiting for her. The game is obviously not very complicated, but it can get tricky after a few levels.

As such, all you have to do in order to finish the stages is move around and pass by all the kittens, which are patiently waiting for you in place. After you have them follow you, they need to be lead to the exit in order to finish the level. However, a variety of creatures can block your way if you are not careful, and your only weapon is running away from the danger.

In fact, you can try to outsmart the enemies by digging holes where the terrain allows you to. By doing so, you can cause the monsters to fall into the holes and make them unable to catch you. However, the trick is not always possible, so you are usually forced to just run away as fast as you can. Thankfully, the cats cannot be hurt by the enemies, but they start wandering aimlessly if you suddenly leave them alone.

As far as the visual quality is concerned, the graphics are top notch for a game of this caliber, especially when it comes to the level design. Each stage is full of detail and interesting vistas, while the animations are smooth and enjoyable to watch. Even the music is soothing and alert when it needs to be, although it gets repetitive after a while.

Although Super Granny 5 has a few flaws when it comes to gameplay mechanics, such as the fact that granny moves a bit too slowly in most cases, everything else is as it should be. Hence, if you are in the mood for something fun and challenging at the same time, this is definitely worthy of a try.
