If you’ve never played Whist before, going to the Help menu will offer everything you need. Solo Whist comes with a well-written and easy to understand tutorial that explains all the rules of the game. After a quick read and a game or two, it’s impossible not to get the hang on how things work.

The game keeps score of each match, so the notion of competing to be the best is still there. From the main window of the app, you can choose your bid or pass, and after that, the round begins.

Solo Whist’s AI will play to win so don’t expect things to be easy. They will always drop the best cards and at times, you’ll even get the feeling that they tend to trick you. As for the gameplay mechanics, it’s all about clicking the cards you want to play, and that’s that. It’s all very simple.

To end, Solo Whist lacks in visual appeal, and there are some design flaws here and there but overall, it’s a decent game to play if you like Whist.
