Safari Biathlon Racer is seriously outdated when it comes to graphics but that might also be the reason you might want to play it. There’s something about the older racing games with this kind of sci-fi setup that first get you curious and then addicted. Although, the chances of the latter to happen are quite slim.

The gameplay rules are pretty simple, be the first to cross the finish line and feel free to shoot at anyone who dares get in front of you. Like with most arcade racers, there are powerups to collect for extra shields or that vital temporary boost of speed.

In Safari Biathlon Racer you get the chance to choose from a wide range of interesting looking ships. The hover racers come in various shapes and colors and have different strong points but all of them feature something in common, the terrible collision physics.

Getting shot and hitting a wall or an obstacle is something you will dread because not only does it take precious time to get back into the race, but it also feels very unrealistic. Even a slight bump with the wall can slow you down by a lot more than you would expect. That’s something that can be frustrating or, on the other hand, it can force you to focus on not messing up.
