Whether it’s history, biology, anatomy or any other subject, such places are always full of mesmerizing items to help you get a closer glimpse at items you won’t run into very often. However, these objects are also quite valuable, in some cases, which is why burglars usually target museums.

Pictureka! Museum Mayhem is a hidden object game in which you get a chance to work for a museum and be the one that arranges all the items in the gallery. In essence, your role is to find certain objects in convoluted images, but you can easily imagine yourself as working for the museum. There are a variety of other mini-games you’ll have to get acquainted with along the way.

The story is not very intricate, but it should be enough to get your imagination going. Hence, the main idea is that some disturbed individual rearranged every exhibit in the museum while everyone was out, which means that nothing’s where it’s supposed to be. Not only that, but burglars break into the place on a regular basis, so you must keep an eye out for that as well.

Unlike most hidden object games, the one at hand features very confusing images, which do not seem to make any kind of sense. The items are randomly scattered around, most of which are upside down. Hence, it can be rather difficult to spot the required objects. Not only that, but the hint cards are vague as well, because you sometimes don’t really know what you should be looking for.

Thankfully, at least the actual graphics are gorgeous, probably because they are hand-drawn and quite artistic. You might be a bit disappointed at the low resolution, but it gets easier to look at after a while. A soothing soundtrack plays in the background at all times, which does wonders for the atmosphere.

All things considered, Pictureka! Museum Mayhem should be a fun couple of hours for hidden objects enthusiasts, especially since it is a tad more difficult than you are used to. Thus, it definitely deserves a try, if only to see if you can handle the challenge.
