Pengapop

Pengapop is an arcade game with a nice look, decent design, and casual gameplay. It’s another title in the long lasting and overused bubble shooter style of games but with the Zuma touch to it.

In Pengapop, your task is as follows. In each level, your ball shooting penguin is placed in a different location and across the level rows of colored balls roll around. Those rolls block his way to the tasty treats, and you have to make a breach to be able to reach the latter.

To eliminate the blocking rows you have to shoot colored balls from your gun and match them with two others. Once three of the same color are aligned, they disappear. Shoot all the treats and you win the level.

Pengapop is very simple by design, but it looks nice for a casual game. After all, something that features a penguin shooting tacos with colored balls using a spaceship-like weapon can’t be taken too serious.

A nice thing about it is that each level is different so although you will be doing the same thing every time, the gameplay won’t feel all that repetitive. As far as the difficulty goes, Pengapop is easy for the first two or three levels but after that, your aiming skills get challenged. Which is a good thing.

Pengapop’s time passed a long time ago but if you’re into Zuma-like games that have that Flash finishing, then this one will do the trick. It can still be an enjoyable game.
