Ominous Objects: Family Portrait Collector's Edition

Ominous Objects: Family Portrait Collector's Edition is a hidden object adventure game where you will have to use your puzzle solving skills in order to rescue children kidnapped by a man who dies 300 years ago.

Players will travel back in time to 1756 and take the place of a wealthy man who leaves his children and his wife in order to attend to his business. After a few months away, he returns to their new home in Blatshire, England, only to find the gates of the castle closing shut in front of him.

After managing to enter his own home, the man speaks with his wife and learns that their children have been kidnapped by a maleficent force. Upon closer investigation, players will learn of a man named Marshall who was a painter and who was executed after his family mysteriously disappeared.

You will have to make good use of your investigatory skills in order to search each room of the castle and gather evidence regarding the mysterious disappearance. The beautifully drawn hidden objects scenes that may also contain puzzles. The puzzles within the puzzles, as well as the various mini-games you'll find thought the game, can be skipped using the button.

There are different difficulty levels players can choose from, depending on their puzzles solving skills: Casual, Advanced and Hard. The graphics of the game are skillfully done and manage to catch the spirit if the 18th century. Cinematic scenes blend perfectly and bring depth to the story.

The drama of a man who loses all his four children to an evil being that can make paintings come to life is a pretty exciting story, so if you find yourself spending way too many hours with this game don't be surprised.
