Mind Your Marbles

Mind Your Marbles is a relaxing game that uses gameplay that’s similar to match-three titles. In this one, you have to create rows of five or more marbles to make them disappear.

In Mind Your Marbles, you can choose between several difficulty levels but the gameplay and goal are the same. On a 9x9 board, random marbles appear in random positions, and your job is to match five or more of them to make them disappear.

It sounds simple enough but if in one turn you don’t make a match, other marbles make an appearance, and the board becomes cluttered very fast. In a turn, you can move only one marble, and if you manage to create a vertical, horizontal or diagonal match, you get an extra move.

Mind Your Marbles’ gameplay makes it hard to form a strategy so a lot of your points will be mostly owed to pure luck.

Apart from the standard one color marbles, various other pieces appear on the board. Rainbow marbles can be used in any combination, color buckets replace a missing marble, and some marbles have two colors that can be used.

Score multipliers are a thing, dynamite can be used to blow up stuff, and there are some very annoying fans that push marbles on the x and y-axes. Thankfully you can destroy them by placing them in a combination.

To end, Mind Your Marbles is a basic match five game with simple graphics and decent audio. Overall, it’s an OK puzzle game.
