Not only that, but flowers and some vegetables can bring you a lot of money if you produce enough of them and sell them for a good price. Hence, if you enjoy gardening, you can turn in quite the profit after a while, in theory.

Kelly Green: Garden Queen is a time management game in which your task is to fill out orders from customers, by growing the requested plants as quickly as possible. Everything from choosing the pot to watering the flowers is your responsibility, not to mention the fact that you have to move fast as well. Otherwise, you either risk losing the client, or you neglect the plants and they just die.

In the beginning, you start with only a handful of available plants, all of which are quite simple to grow and maintain. The orders are also pretty simple and manageable, which means that you can easily keep an eye on the plants and deliver them in time to receive a big tip. However, as you advance from stage to stage, the requests become tougher to uphold, while the plants themselves begin to require more attentive treatment.

Everything is a resource in the game, which means that you can run out of something at any time. Water needs to be pumped when the buckets run dry, and new adequate dirt must be purchased when you run out of it. As such, you must balance the incoming payments with the outgoing ones, which means that your profits are going to suffer greatly if you start wasting resources without completing the orders.

As far as the technical aspects are concerned, the graphics engine is quite simple and effective, although it still looks like something designed in Flash. The plants and the environments are quite detailed, although the top-down perspective prevents you from seeing too much. Thankfully, you at least have the option to move the camera around freely, as well as zoom in and out a bit if you need to do so.

In the end, Kelly Green: Garden Queen is a classic time management game built around a gardening theme, so it’s nothing out of the ordinary. However, the gameplay is quite alert and well designed, so you can have a lot of fun with it in the right circumstances.
