Start a research facility and put out a variety of products on the market, while trying to avoid corporate espionage #Manage factory #Factory simulator #Research facility #Factory #Research #Sim
Factories are a quintessential symbol of the industrial era, because that’s when people started mass producing goods and appliances at affordable prices. Suddenly, objects could be manufactured in great numbers without the need for a lot of employees, which is why everyone can now afford to buy complicated machines for only a couple of dollars.
Crazy Factory is a simulator that allows you to experience the thrill of being a factory owner, with the end goal being to patent new designs and produce goods to sell en masse. Obviously, it is not necessary to do any of the actual work, since your main responsibility is to buy the machinery required to assemble the merchandise and to hire the personnel in charge of research.
To begin with, the game allows you to choose a particular mission from a list, each one of which has a specific end goal. In essence, the variable element is the product you have to research, which ranges from toilets, to all sorts of hi-tech items. Not only that, but the first couple of missions even challenge you to restore the actual building in which you have to conduct business.
Besides the equipment required to run the factory, the people working with it are also very important. You can choose to hire a varied selection of experts in a variety of fields, each one of whom demands a certain salary and decent working conditions. Whether it’s the quality of their desk or the AC unit in their office, every element is important when it comes to employee efficiency and happiness.
Corporate espionage has an impact on the gameplay too, and it can happen fairly often that your research is stolen by competing companies. Not only that, but they can also sabotage your machinery and cause serious losses, which is mighty annoying. Thankfully, you can respond in kind, by hiring your own spies and arming them with all sorts of gimmicks to make life difficult for the competitors.
When it’s all said and done, Crazy Factory has enough strong points to keep you occupied for a few hours, as long as you can put up with its flaws as well. As such, the interface and the gameplay mechanics might be a bit difficult to figure out in the beginning, especially since you are given little to no help in this regard.
