However, you might be surprised at what children are supposed to learn and remember nowadays, not to mention the fact that they must keep track of many different subjects at once. Hence, adults can easily be outsmarted by youngsters in certain scenarios, especially if it involves subjects like geography, maths and grammar.

Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader: Make the Grade is a quiz game designed after the TV show with the same name, and the concept is exactly the same as well. Thus, each participant must answer a series of questions from a variety of subjects, while the fifth graders compete against them. Obviously, the questions are not overly complicated, but they are very specific and tricky.

To begin with, there are multiple game modes to choose from, in case you want to mix things up after a while. The main mode is more or less similar to the TV show, which means that you can only play it by yourself, and you have to answer the questions in a predefined order. The other modes include Flashcards, where you must answer ten questions as quickly as possible, while your opponent does the same. Spelling Bee and Academic Academy are also among the available modes.

Each question is multiple choice, which means that you must choose the correct answer and stick with it. Sometimes, a picture is provided as a clue, and you can use it to find the answer. As a bonus, there are two cheats you can use if you ever get stuck, although you should avoid wasting them too early. These cheats are only available in the Homeroom mode, on the other hand.

Interface-wise, the game is very simple to play and understand, especially since you do not need to know too much about computers to find your way around. Each button is intuitive and clearly visible, not to mention the fact that all you need is a mouse. However, the visual quality can be a bit of a letdown, although you need to remember that the game was released quite a few years ago.
