Aqua Digger 3D

Aqua Digger 3D is a casual arcade game that takes on a classic gameplay style but with a unique look. You play the role of a mussel who has to collect all the treasure from the bottom of the sea.

In Aqua Digger 3D things are very easy. You control the clam using the arrow keys or your controller; you collect coins by eating them. There are some urchins that follow you around. The urchins are pirates in the game, and as you can imagine, staying away from them is a good idea.

However, the little clam can shoot pearls, or whatever that is, and temporarily eliminate the pirates. Like in Pac-Man, they do come back, and they will chase you down if they enter the path you dig when collecting coins. There are also powerups to use, and these enable you to dig faster, you can freeze the enemies, and you even get a teleportation buff.

Aqua Digger 3D is a game from 2002 so you can expect outdated graphics but the gameplay still fits today’s standards. You might not regard it as polished but if an old school game is what you’re looking for, this one will do the trick.

Each level is different and although the AI of the game doesn’t seem like much of a challenge, it will hider you at times. You can also drop large treasure chests on top of the pirates to destroy them by digging under the chest at the right time. Aqua Digger 3D features simple gameplay mechanics, but they’re still nice on some level.

Aqua Digger 3D is outdated in almost every aspect, so if you’re looking for a quality game, this one will not be so convincing. However, if you really have money to give away, it’s worth a shot, a very small one.
