7 Wonders II

7 Wonders II is a match-3 puzzle game with a nice setting and casual gameplay. It’s well suited for those days when you just want to kick back in front of your computer and spend some time by wasting time, but in a relaxing way.

In 7 Wonders II, you will have to do your best to transform points into building materials that are used to create seven more recent wonders that reside in different parts of the globe. The gameplay is that specific to the match-3 genre, you get a board that is comprised out of shuffled pieces, and you have to swap and match them in a minimum of three.

It’s all easy to do, the gameplay mechanics won't be any problem because the only real challenge is spotting the pieces that fit.

As far as match-3 /puzzle games go, 7 Wonders II looks good. There are seven wonders to build but the game pieces remain the same, luckily they have a nice design. Animations and effects are also well polished, and it’s somehow satisfying to see them break into building blocks after you match them.

To make things more interesting, you also have a wide range of power-ups to use. They can eliminate an entire row of pieces or have the same effect in two diagonals. As you play, new and better ones appear. Gameplay is repetitive, but at least some things change by a bit, just enough to keep you playing.

There is no mystery as to why games such as 7 Wonders II are addictive. They require little brainpower to play, and it’s actually the repetitive nature of it all that make you stay next to it for hours on end. To sum it up, 7 Wonders II is a good choice for those who want to pass the time by.
