Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 LAN Patch

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a real-time strategy game in which two factions battle each other for world dominance.

You get to play as either the Allies or the Soviets, each one with its own unique look and units yo use in combat. The game features 2.5D graphics and follows standard RTS gameplay.

You have to mine resources, build a base, defenses and train units to raise an army and use it to defeat your enemy. There are several units to choose from and combine as well as super weapons to use.

The game features both single player and multiplayer modes, and the patch that is provided on this page will help you access the second. The archive contains a single lightweight file which enables you to play Red Alert 2 over LAN without having to install IPX/SPX services.

To benefit from it, you have to extract the archive into the game's installation folder. It's tested to be compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7.
