Civilization IV Patch

Civilization IV is a turn based strategy game in which you have to lead a small group of people on the path to creating a great empire from almost nothing.

Throughout the game you will have to manage both social and military aspects, research new technologies, oversee the well-being of your population while expanding your empire into enemy territory. In the game you will have several methods of winning, such as being the first one to send a space ship to Alpha Centauri, being voted World Leader by other factions or defeating your opponents in military combat.

You get to choose and play as one of 18 distinct civilizations, each with its advantages and disadvantages. Civilization IV also is more open to customizing  opposed to previous releases as it allows you to tamper with AI and you can even create your own map.

Downloading and installing the patch from this page you are able to update components of the game and fix a series of bugs that have passed unnoticed. Once installed, you can enjoy a more balanced game.
