When you hear of zombie survival games, you probably think of those hyper-realistic survival horror games where state-of-the-art graphics is the main source of the horror element, using viscera and jump scares to frighten the living daylights out of you. However, you can take the zombie genre and turn it into an arcade-style adrenaline thrill ride, the way  ZombieThon did.

If you're not a fan of multiplayer games or toxic community, you'll be delighted to find out that this game also lets you play in singleplayer mode, allowing you to hone your skills without the condescending opinions of elitist teammates. After selecting your preferred game mode, you then have to select the class you want, but you have to choose wisely since each class comes with their own design, power-ups, and skills.

Now that you've chosen the means by which you kill your enemies (sniping, blowing up or general heavy-duty assault), you have to select your preferred map, which is nothing more than a choice of environmental theme above all else. The game principle is pretty much simple: you cannot win. However, the purpose of the game is to survival as much as possible and garner as many kills as you can before the endless swarms of zombies overwhelm you their numbers and persistence. One advantage is that the game camera is positioned above your head, so despite being highly outnumbered, at least you have a full 360-degree view of your surroundings.

Once in a while the zombies you kill eventually drop powerups that can be anything from health packs to temporary weapon boosts or permanent upgrades. The Tricky part is you get to these powerups since you will mostly be moving away from the incoming hordes, meaning that in order to get the packs you'd actually have to go through them. At the end of a match, you get a score and you'll be able to see your progress compared to your previous matches, as well as your standing on the global scoreboard where all the pros have their names written for everyone to see.

A great stress-relieving shoot'em-up game

Despite the fact that you do die regardless of how skilled you are, the game seems like a great stress relieving activity, as getting your score higher and higher does give you a consistent sense of accomplishment.
