The game world itself isn't all that big, as it currently consist of a forest a forest, a mysterious ruin, a lovely pond and as many deer as there are players at any given time.

If you value your privacy, you can choose to play as an unnamed deer, although it would be advised to name it once you start making friends, so that they can recognize you. You aren't bound by any story or any goals, as everything within this game is done as the players please, although there are a few activities they can engage in. Besides the players, you can also interact with mystical forest gods that appear from time to time, either in person or through the influence they have on the world.

Tale of Tales: The Endless Forest raises the bar in terms of how social interaction games should be played, as it manages to let people interact with each other in a way that feel peaceful, close to nature and relaxing.
