Quantum Rush Champions

Quantum Rush Champions is a Sci-Fi racing game in which you don’t have time to blink too often. If features plenty of ships to choose from and customize, several game modes and best of all, you get to shoot down other racers while playing.

The concept behind Quantum Rush Champions isn’t all that original, but it certainly retains its unique look and throws in a number of newer features to spice things up. You have three campaigns to choose from, eight game modes and loads of cool looking ships to choose from.

Upgrades are available for the ships if you win races to unlock them, and each one makes a small but big difference once they are equipped. The tracks you get to race on are well designed but, as far as those in the demo go, they’re not that complicated to navigate, which leads to the idea that the game is more focused on combat between the racers than it is on actually racing.

In Quantum Rush Champions, you don’t get to equip weapons for nothing. Here, the shootouts are exciting and keep you engaged throughout the entire length of a race. Since the game has more of an arcade racer than a sim, it provides various power-ups and weapons that you can use in each race.

Guided missiles, EMP pulses, perimeter flames, landmines, plasma cannons and a few more goodies. What’s great about a race in Quantum Rush Champions is that while keeping an eye on the track, you also need to aim, position yourself, anticipate the AI’s movements and do your best to catch all the boost pads. There’s a lot to take in, and all of it adds up to create a fun experience.

To wrap it up, Quantum Rush Champions is not perfect, and handling is a bit tricky at first but it’s certainly the type of game that grows on you. The gameplay has a bit of an old-school vibe, but the visuals push it to new standards.
