Peak Angle: Drift Online Client
Push fast car to their limits and burn some rubber in this drifting simulator sporting nice graphics #Drifting game #Drift simulator #Racing game #Drift #Race #Racing
Although drifting is mainly done by amateurs who like to ruin their tires and suspension, there are professional drifters and many drifting competitions out there as well. Naturally, the cars used in these events are heavily modified to deal with the unorthodox method of driving, but these modifications cost a lot of money, not to mention that some of the components are lost in the process.
Peak Angle: Drift Online is a racing simulator that allows you to burn some rubber without worrying about damaging your car or paying for the tires after each event. In essence, the game is designed to be a middle ground between simulation and arcade, and it does a wonderful job at that. However, it may lack content if you plan on dedicating a lot of time to it, although there’s always the possibility to keep practicing just for the sake of it.
There are multiple game modes to choose from, depending on whether you want to practice, enjoy a quick race against other players, or enter some kind of championship with better prizes. Obviously, there are all sorts of cars to choose from, and they can all be upgraded with better parts that make them more resilient, faster, or just better at drifting.
As always, your drifts are only rewarded if you are past a certain speed and you don’t touch anything else during your slide. Thankfully, there’s no collision with the other cars, so you are safe from them regardless of how badly they drive, or how many mistakes you make. On the other hand, it makes the experience feel a bit cheap and arcade, depending on your tastes.
The graphics are nothing out of the ordinary either, since the game is designed to be enjoyed by as many people as possible, on almost any kind of computer. Even so, the textures and the materials look decent enough, as do the special and particle effects added on top. The sounds are nicely integrated too, but don’t expect an awful lot of realism in this regard either.
Peak Angle: Drift Online is not much of a simulator, but it’s fun enough to keep you busy for a long time. Moreover, you can upgrade your vehicles and feel like your progress matters, although it’s also possible to purchase things using real money.
