Level up your character and gather as many powerful items as you can in this action-based MMORPG #Massively multiplayer #Online RPG #Role-playing game #Role-play #Online #MMO
Simple MMOs are quite popular nowadays, even if they only feature basic combat mechanics and repetitive quests that require you to kill hundreds of critters in exchange for a slightly better sword. However, it’s a great feeling to reach max level and enjoy all the perks, even if the journey there is not that fun. It’s also a nice way to socialize with people and make a few friends.
Dungeon Hero is an MMORPG that doesn’t not pretend to be anything else than what it actually is, so you should expect to be greeted by the same kind of repetitive quests and dull gameplay mechanics. However, it provides you with a lot of content when it comes to dungeons and special events, as well as many opportunities to interact with other people and cooperate with them.
To begin with, there are only three classes to choose from, which is a bit of a disappointment, at least if you are used to having more choices at your disposal. Hence, you can either be a swordsman, an adventurer or a scholar. The latter is obviously a mage, and the gameplay changes quite a lot when you switch from one class to the other. On top of it all, there are three different factions to choose from as well.
These factions come into play when you participate in camp wars, which are actually PVP events in which players compete against mobs and themselves. There are also classic dungeon events in which you can either enter alone or with a few other allied players, depending on difficulty and the loot you want to acquire. Naturally, it’s important to use your character’s skills as efficiently as possible, although most of them are pretty straightforward anyway.
As for the technical side of things, Dungeon Hero is not exactly next-gen, but it’s certainly quite pretty and colorful. The characters are cartoonish and amusing, and every city is pretty detailed and full of interesting things. Some of the dungeons are a bit barren and repetitive, on the other hand, which can cause a bit of boredom if you run them too often.
All things considered, Dungeon Hero is obviously not designed as an alternative to World of Warcraft or any of the other serious MMOs out there, but it’s the perfect choice for young gamers or for those who want something light to kill some time every now and again.
