World's Greatest Places Mosaics 2 is an adventure game with mosaic puzzle mechanics in which you get to admire great scenery and put your brain to work for a while as well. Even if it looks like your typical nonogram puzzle game, there are actually quite a few differences to get accustomed to, not to mention the slightly higher difficulty level later on in the game.

To begin with, there are multiple game modes to choose from, each one of which affects the puzzles themselves and the mechanics you have to use to solve them. Unlike in your typical mosaic puzzles, this one also features multiple types of tile shapes, including squares and pentagons. Thus, an extra layer of complexity is added to make things a lot tougher on the players.

The mosaics are also pretty complex sometimes, given the fact that you have to fill a huge area and you are only allowed a handful of mistakes. Speaking of which, there is a hint system in place to lend you a helping hand, but it can only be used sporadically as you may have already guessed. While we are on the matter, the tutorial at the beginning of the game is very nicely designed, since it explains everything you need to know about the new mechanics.

In terms of graphics, the game is about as basic as you would expect, especially since there are no 3D environments or anything of the sort. The interface doesn’t get in your way while you are tackling the puzzles, but it’s always there to help you along when you need it. Not much can be said about the music either, but then again you can easily switch it off if you would rather listen to your own playlists.

When it’s all said and done, World's Greatest Places Mosaics 2 is a bit more difficult to approach than most games in the genre, but it’s that much more rewarding if you manage to complete it. Thus, it’s worth a try if you like to challenge yourself.
