World In Danger Demo
Clean the city of criminals and save innocent people from the clutches of terrorists in this exciting top-down action game #Top-down action #Stealth action #Retro shooter #Top-down #Action #RPG
People love freedom in almost everything they do, because there’s nothing better than being able to choose exactly how to live or how to have fun. Video games started to understand the concept about a decade ago, when the open world and free roam concepts started to take root. Nowadays almost every RPG comes with a big world open to exploration, otherwise it probably wouldn’t keep players engaged for very long.
World In Danger is a top-down action game with stealth elements in which you are allowed to choose whether to approach each situation with guns blazing, or sneak around and take out the enemies without too much fuss. The game is also designed to look retro, so it should wake quite a few memories in those who are old enough to remember the titles it tries to emulate.
As for the story, there’s no hidden meaning and no intricate plot to follow, given the fact that all you have to do is understand that the world is full of criminals and they must be stopped. Hence, most of your missions are all about cleaning the entire map of hostiles, although sometimes you also have to rescue hostages or disarm bombs before the time runs out.
There are four main characters to choose from, but you can unlock a lot more as you complete missions. Naturally, some of the characters are better suited in certain conditions, but all of them are quite capable of finishing any mission. Thus, some may be better at stealth kills, while others are much stronger if you use them as human machine-guns and obliterate everything in your path.
Speaking of which, the maps are quite interesting from a conceptual point of view, but the actual level design is a bit disappointing. There are all sorts of gameplay issues as well, even if this is an Alpha version at the moment. As an example, it’s very difficult to see and avoid enemy bullets, mainly because the FOV is tiny and there’s no time to see the enemies appear.
When it’s all said and done, World In Danger needs a bit more work before it can be enjoyed over long periods of time, because right now it’s rather empty and repetitive. Hence, you can support the developers by backing their Kickstarter campaign, or by voting for the game on Steam Greenlight.
