Vertigo Demo
Put your patience and coordination to the test in this arcade racing game featuring a sphere and intricate tracks #Ball race #Racing game #Arcade racing #Race #Racing #Ball
Unconventional vehicles are being invented and scrapped on a regular basis, which means that very few leave the prototype status. One of the most used shapes for a vehicle in movies and video games seems to be the sphere, mostly because it would have the ability to change its direction immediately and most likely navigate tricky environments with ease.
Vertigo is a type of arcade racing game, although there’s no actual competition involved. Instead, you control a ball and you must navigate a series of intricate tracks while trying not to fall into the abyss below. Time is also a factor, so you must also keep an eye on the clock if you want a decent score in the end. Obviously, the tracks get more complicated as you manage to beat them, which means that there’s always a challenge waiting for you.
The environments range wildly from futuristic cities to green jungles and vast mountain ranges, all of which span below the tracks. As far as the actual tracks are concerned, they are usually made out of a variety of materials, including glass, concrete, metal, and a few other that don’t look like anything from this world. Regardless of what they may be made of, fun and frustration are both guaranteed.
Since the game emphasizes on accuracy and good coordination, the controls must be responsive and do exactly what you ask them to do. Thankfully, they are quite refined and you can usually trust them, although there may be some mishaps every now and again. The tracks are also quite demanding, so the controls are not always to blame for your troubles.
From a technical standpoint, nothing really excels at the game, but everything is rather well-adjusted and there’s nothing in particular to point a finger at. Visually, the environments are pretty detailed and a lot of ingenuity went into the level design, although you might spot a few bad textures along the way, or just bad design elements not fitting in with the rest of the scenery.
In case you just want to have some fun and experience a bit of speed, Vertigo is not the answer in your case. However, if you are not afraid of a little challenge and you can deal with some tough tracks that push the limits of your patience, then this is definitely the game to try out.
