Under Earth Demo
A first person survival first-person adventure game that will keep you on the edge of your seat #First person #Adventure game #Survival game #FPS #First-person #Adventure
UnderEarth is a first person adventure game built on the Unreal 3 engine that will test you patience and puzzle solving skills.
Survival games are really making a comeback, and it looks like nothing gets people going like the specter of imminent death. UnderEarth does just that with a claustrophobic atmosphere combined with any lack of clue of what you’re supposed to do.
For now, UnderEarth is still under development, and the demo is more like a proof of concept, so we expect the final experience to be much more refined. Even if the demo is rather short and not all that interesting, it was still long enough for me to die horribly asphyxiated.
A research facility that’s 40 miles under the Earth's surface is no longer responding, and no one knows what happened with all the people trapped down there. Valvorta Industries, the corporation that controls that facility sent an engineering specialist to find out what’s the problem and to save whoever is still left alive.
The premise of the game sets the tone, and you know that you’re going to have quite a challenge on your hands when the level you’re in is 40 miles underground.
UnderEarth plays from a first-person perspective, and the main character is really easy to control. Your job is to find out what happened, but you can’t do that because of the state of the research facility, which is in disarray.
The game is basically a big giant puzzle that you need to put back together by working the machinery, reading the logs, and figuring out hot to stay alive. This is where things really start to become interesting. The atmosphere is toxic, and it’s slowly killing you, so you also have to monitor your vitals at the same time.
UnderEarth is built on the Unreal Engine 3, so it sits somewhere in the middle. It’s a good and sturdy engine that will do the job, but it could be better. For now, we have to forgive the developers for the quality since it’s still under development, but we hope that it will be improved.
Please keep in mind that UnderEarth is a rather big download, and it installs quite a few dependencies.
