Undead Demo
Fight zombies and compete with other players in a variety of modes in this first-person shooter. #Multiplayer shooter #First-person shooter #Survival FPS #FPS #Shooter #Zombie
Adding zombies to a shooter is so popular nowadays that even huge franchises like Call of Duty do it, not to mention all the indie games that are entirely based on the idea of mindless corpses chasing you around. Naturally, the whole thing gets rather boring and repetitive after a while, mainly because there are only so many ways to keep the players engaged until developers run out of ideas.
Undead is a multiplayer first-person shooter that does not try very hard to innovate things, given the fact that most its mechanics are as basic as you can get in the genre. Hence, it’s all about shooting low-poly zombies and surviving for as long as possible, except that sometimes you also have to watch out for other human players. There’s hardly anything you haven’t seen here, but that doesn’t mean you cannot have a few minutes of fun.
To begin with, there are multiple game modes to choose from, including the classic deathmatch. However, there’s also Nexus and Fly or Die, which offer a different experience, since you either have to protect your energy supply from the enemy team or try your best not to touch the floor for five minutes. These modes can help with the monotony for a while, but they get just as repetitive after a few rounds.
One thing everyone knows about zombies is that you need to shoot them in the head in order to take them out quickly. However, this doesn’t exactly work in Undead, because you can unload an entire clip into their heads to no avail. Because of this, your aiming skills are almost irrelevant, since there is no way to get rid of enemies faster no matter where you shoot them.
As far as the graphics are concerned, the low-poly style should work if you are a fan of titles like Minecraft, but this also means that the level design is pretty basic. There is only so much you can do with a handful of blocks and bright colors, but then again the game has much bigger issues than this. Hence, you’ll be annoyed by the shooting aspect way before the simple maps become a problem.
Undead fails to deliver in terms of gameplay and the shooting itself, which makes it a certainty that the veterans of the genre won’t find anything engaging here. However, if you are just starting out and you are looking for something simple and straightforward, Undead undead may just keep you busy for a few hours.
