Trackmania Turbo Demo

Trackmania is one of the oldest racing franchises on the market, and it also happens to have one of the biggest communities. One of the main reasons for its popularity is the fact that the developers include a track editor with every new game, which allows the players to create their own levels and share them with other people. Naturally, this increases the game’s lifespan by a lot.

Trackmania Turbo looks and feels like every other episode in the franchise, but there are some differences that might make you a bit skeptical, at least at first. Other than that, the gameplay is more or less the same as in every other Trackmania ever released, which means that you have to go as fast as possible around all sorts of wild tracks that require lightning-fast reflexes.

There are multiple cars to choose from as well, although it takes a while to unlock them. In fact, the campaign mode is where your skills are put to the test, because you have to obtain certain times in order to earn medals and unlock the next stages. Not only that, but your times are also compared those of other players from all over the world, which means that there’s always a reason to go faster.

Speaking of which, the game can also be enjoyed in multiplayer, which is obviously good news if you enjoy competition. There’s no collision between the cars on the track, on the other hand, and that might be a problem for some players. Thankfully, this should allow everyone to pick the optimal route around the track without having to watch out for the other racers at the same time.

The graphics are not bad either, but the developers didn’t go overboard when it comes to post-processing effects or high-resolution textures. This means that the game runs smoothly on older rigs as well, although it’s pretty annoying to play if you’ve got under sixty frames per second. The music is pretty engaging too, but nothing very impressive in this regard, which is kind of a shame.

In the end, Trackmania Turbo might be a tad too empty for some people, but if you are just looking for yet another Trackmania game with fast cars and wild tracks, then you should be happy with this one as well. Unfortunately, the track builder is way too limited to provide the game with a longer lifespan.
