Tiny Knights Demo
Defeat your opponents in the arena using your shield and sword in this entertaining fighting game #Fighting game #Battle sim #Action game #Fighting #Fight #Medieval
Fighting games have always been popular with gamers, regardless of whether it’s fantasy sword fighting or hand-to-hand combat. However, it’s pretty difficult to come up with a decent set of gameplay mechanics, especially when realism enters the picture. Making the characters move smoothly and allowing the players to make full use of their skills is pretty tough using our current technology.
Tiny Knights is a third-person action game in which you play the role of a knight as he tries to survive a battle with multiple opponents in the arena. The game is still in a very early development stage, so there are many features missing or not fully implemented yet, but the idea as a whole has merit. Thus, it’s very fun to watch tiny people with cute little ragdoll effects fighting each other.
There are no other goals at the moment other than to stay alive, and it gets a lot tougher to do so as more enemies make an appearance. Some of them have shields, others are more agile than others, and it’s also worth mentioning that you have to face off against multiple enemies later on. In fact, it can be very frustrating to stay alive after a while, especially since the mechanics are not very polished.
Speaking of which, all you can do is use the sword to attack opponents and raise the shield in other to block incoming attacks. Some enemies can also use a shield, so you have to time your strikes in order to deal damage sometimes. The system is far from refined right now, on the other hand, so you can easily get hit through the shield, and it’s tough to stay protected when enemies attack you from every direction.
In terms of graphics, the game is as basic as it can get, given the fact that the characters are just blocky stickmen with silly armor on top. The arena is nothing more than a green field with a fence around it, but at least there is a crowd to cheer you on as well. The controls could use a few touch ups as well, because there are a few glitches that slow you down.
In the end, Tiny Knights could be a very interesting game in the future if the developers keep improving it, and even more so if a multiplayer mode is added. However, even this early demo can keep you entertained for a few minutes at a time.
