The Silent Age

The Silent Age is a neat and very smooth point and click game. Its subject is one that’s been used and overused throughout the years in every media and multimedia environment, meaningly, time travel. However, The Silent Age comes with its own pace and style, and the story is fairly well-written.

The story in The Silent Age begins with a short clip about a portion of your character’s past. He’s a quiet guy; he served in the military, and now he minds his own business by being a janitor in a large research company.

At first, I thought the game was going to be about one man’s struggle with poverty and social inequality but time travel works too. More so since the events are not as predictable as you would expect them to be even though there are enough Sci-Fi movies out there to fill in the game’s story gaps.

Like with most point and click games, you have to be patient and read everything that comes your way. Whether it’s a sign or the character’s description of an object, you need to pay attention. In terms of logic, The Silent Age does well for itself, as you won’t be pulling out your hair thanks to puzzle solutions that don’t make any sense.

You will, however, have to go through a lot of back and forward movements, but luckily a double click makes Joe sprint to where you need him to go. If the description and chat texts appeared and disappear quicker, you wouldn’t have anything else to object to.

To end, The Silent Age is a good point and click that’s well-written and easy to play without it being a walk in the park.
