The Secret Order: Bloodline is a classic hidden object adventure game that allows you to go on a great adventure and tackle a difficult case in the Amazon rainforest. Even if the mechanics are pretty standard for the genre, the different puzzles sometimes feature unique ideas, so you can definitely put your brain to work with the riddles every now and again.

The story starts when the main character goes to visit his mother, who’s studying the Amazon rainforest. However, things take a turn for the worse when you find out that there’s a group of people called the Dragon Clan, who plan on using a mythical plant in order to hurt a lot of people. In short, the goal is to stop the clan and make sure the plant in question is used to heal instead of hurt people.

As far as the gameplay is concerned, your most important activity is to check every scene for helpful items, and there are plenty of them to pick up along the way. After you get everything from your surroundings, it’s important to make use of these objects in order to solve puzzles, which come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some of them might put you in a pickle, but most feature simple solutions that just take a while to solve.

A lot of praise is in order for the graphics, because the scenes you explore over the course of the story are gorgeous to say the least. Every object is detailed and in tune with the rest of the background, so most scenes look pretty convincing. The cutscenes are fairly enjoyable as well, and the voice acting is not bad either, at least if you lower your expectations a tiny bit.

In the end, The Secret Order: Bloodline has all the right elements to keep you engaged for a few hours.
