Thus, your job is to find precious crystals and rebuild the entire village to its former glory, while also keeping the forces of evil at bay at the same time.

Every once in awhile, the action is fragmented with a small puzzle or mini-game that takes your mind off Solitaire. Whether you have to solve an actual jigsaw puzzle or deal with some sort of riddle, the experience is quite dynamic, although Solitaire is still the main ingredient. Speaking of which, it is even possible to finish the hand without clearing all the cards, given the fact that all that matters are the crystals you collect.

On a related note, there are a few other items you need to keep an eye out for as well, such as keys. Some cards are locked and cannot be played until you find the proper key, so you are sometimes forced to deviate. Wildcards are also part of the equation, and they can be played at any time and on top of any card, which is useful if you find yourself in a bind.

All things being equal, The Far Kingdoms: Sacred Grove Solitaire is certainly a tad different from regular Solitaire games, but it’s also familiar and simple to understand. Hence, if you enjoy the genre and do not mind the constant repetition, this is definitely worthy of a shot.
