Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow Demo
Special operative Sam Fisher is called into action yet again, as terrorists threaten the safety of the nation #Splinter Cell #Pandora Tomorrow #Stealth Game #Stealth #Fisher #Pandora
NSA's secret black-ops branch called Third Echelon is in charge of taking on the most difficult and important missions in assuring the nation's safety against potential terrorist attacks. Sam Fisher is one of their best men, which means that he's the one who gets to participate in these missions and tackle a variety of dangerous tasks along the way, from bold assassinations, to gathering vital intelligence without leaving a trace.
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is the sequel to a great first episode and remains true to the franchise, by featuring the very same ingredients in a slightly better looking package and with some additional components to diversify or improve the gameplay. Thus, the fans of the series should feel just as comfortable as they did in the previous release and continue helping the government in keeping a lid on the terrorist threat.
The main storyline is quite intricate, since it involves a lot of details, characters and situations that, when put together, really give out a cinematic vibe. Thus, a guy by the name of Norman Soth threatens to detonate a smallpox bomb in the middle of the Los Angeles International Airport and infect thousands of people, because the USA betrayed him and he lost a leg in the process. Naturally, the plot gets a few twists and turns as you advance through it, but the actual missions are even more thrilling and well-made.
The game maintains its stealth approach and even improves on it this time around, by featuring a lot of scenarios in which you are not allowed to employ lethal force under any circumstances. On the other hand, the level design has been improved as well, which means that there are many ways to reach the objective without attracting any attention on the way. Hence, whether you use the high vegetation to remain unseen, or climb on top of a moving train, Fisher always finds a way to avoid prying eyes.
Various new gadgets have also been added, such as optical cables to look through keyholes before entering a room, thermal vision goggles and even laser microphones, which allow you to hear conversations from much farther away. The actual gameplay mechanics got their share of improvements as well, since Sam is now able to perform a few more moves and use the environment to his advantage much easier.
No matter how you look at it, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow achieves its purpose and provides you with yet another thrilling chapter from Fisher's life as an agent for the NSA. The multitude of ways you can complete the missions and the freedom of movement around the maps, coupled with the nice AI and the refined mechanics should make any fan of the series more than happy.
