Solitaire Victorian Picnic
Match cards and solve Solitaire puzzles in this Victorian Era-inspired puzzle game #Puzzle game #Match two #Solitaire game #Solitaire #Match-2 #Match
Solitaire is a pretty popular card game throughout the world, at least after it came as one of the default video games in Windows a few years ago. However, there are hundreds of variations out there at the moment, most of which feature the same basic rules. On the other hand, the game is flexible enough to allow for such a great variety, so people can always come up with new ideas.
Solitaire Victorian Picnic is not exactly a Solitaire game, on the other hand, because although it features some of the same concepts, it’s actually a simple match-two flick with colorful graphics. Hence, your goal is to clear the cards off the table by matching the identical ones. Granted, there are other rules that come into play, but the underlying principle is pretty straightforward.
As such, each level features a different card arrangement, and the actual goal is to match the golden cards as quickly as possible, without getting stuck in the process. These golden cards are usually placed at the bottom of the pile, on the other hand, so it takes a bit of work to get to them. You can also draw cards from the deck in order to make matches, but the deck in question has a finite number of cards and you can only go through it twice without using any power-ups.
Speaking of which, power-ups come in handy when you want to continue in spite of the fact that there are no matches on the table. Some of them allow you to reshuffle all the cards and get another chance, while others are basically jokers that can be used to pose as any card on the table. Naturally, these abilities are in low supply, so it’s important that you use them wisely.
Not much can be said about the graphics, because everything looks pretty standard for a Solitaire game. There are multiple card models to choose from, which should keep monotony at bay for a while, but everything else stays the same. You can also admire a few hand-painted artwork pieces along the way, and the soundtrack is pretty calming as well, but nothing memorable.
In the end, Solitaire Victorian Picnic can be quite challenging, but it’s mostly a matter of luck than anything else. Hence, it can get boring rather quickly, especially because the mechanics stay the same and nothing really changes from one level to the other.
