Shooter Hunter
A simplistic third-person shooter in which you have to destroy a flying drone before it kills you #Shoot robot #Robotic drone #Third-person shooter #Shooter #Hunter #Pistol
In order for a shooter to be successful, it needs to blend in a variety of elements, all of which are essential in assuring a believable and enjoyable experience. Hence, while realism is indeed important, it is not always a requirements, since third or first-person shooters can also be entertaining even when the guns shoot plasma rounds and the enemies are twenty feet tall.
Shooter Hunter is more of an experiment than an actual game, but you can have a moderate amount of fun with it as well, despite the fact that it is unfinished and it lacks many elements to be considered a finished product. Moreover, there is barely anything to do in it, other than shoot at a drone and take cover from time to time, in order to avoid the volley of bullets sent by the drone itself.
Speaking of which, the machine you fight is by no means big or imposing, but the fact that it can freely float in the air without the aid of a propeller or some kind of propulsion mechanism makes it highly unpredictable, which means that it can rapidly change it's position and attack you from another angle. However, the sphere does not seem to take advantage of this and just sits there most of the time, allowing you to shoot at it.
Although there are multiple difficulty levels to choose from, they only affect the amount of damage your pistol does to the enemy, as well as the damage it inflicts on you. Hence, the drone maintains the same attack patterns whether it is on the lowest or the highest difficulty level, which is rather annoying and frustrating, especially when you consider the fact that all you have to do is stand behind a wall for a few seconds and you are in the clear.
As far as the technical aspect is concerned, the graphics are decent, with emphasis on the animation of the main character, which is pretty well done. The environment does not impress and the level itself is pretty dull, with just a few broken walls to keep you company and give you something to look at. However, the voice acting is very unprofessional and it sounds very awkward, especially since it wasn't even needed at all, considering the fact that the only one who talks is the main character and he actually talks to himself.
In the end, Shooter Hunter can only provide you with around five to ten minutes of moderate fun, in which you've got enough time to see everything the game has to offer. Even so, a lot of things need to be changed or dropped entirely, otherwise the finished product won't have the desired effect on the audience.
