Secret Files: Tunguska Demo
A point-and-click adventure game that revolves around the mystery surrounding the explosion above the Siberian region #Tunguska Demo #Secret Files #Flaming inferno #Flamingo #Inferno #Secret
Tunguska is the name of a village in Siberia and it is also the place where a giant explosion took place at the beginning of the 20th century, one that decimated every bit of vegetation around the affected area and it was heard all across the world, even if the actual detonation seems to have happened above the ground. However, while the mystery can just simply be attributed to an asteroid explosion, many believe that much more than that happened.
Secret Files: Tunguska is a point-and-click adventure game in which you get to toy with the Siberian conundrum, as well as find out the truth behind the events that unfolded around the time of the explosion. There is much more than that to the plot, since things become more and more complicated as you go along and many mysterious characters seem to be involved toward the end.
To being with, though, it all revolves around the disappearance of Nina's father, who's a world renowned scientist working at a museum. One of his latest projects was the investigation of the Tunguska explosion, but he seems to have vanished before he could reach a conclusion. Moreover, his office and home have been vandalized by people who were looking for something, which leaves Nina wondering of maybe her father actually found out some information that could be of great importance. Over the course of the story, you get to travel all over the world, including Siberia, the Antarctic and even China, in order to recover the data and get to the bottom of the mystery.
As far as the puzzles are concerned, they are definitely not easy, although they are not impossible either, especially if you are familiar with the genre and you are aware of the basics when it comes to point-and-click games. Thus, regardless of what kind of mission you happen to be on, everything can be solved by examining the surrounding area, finding useful objects and combining them together in order to obtain the solution to your problems.
Hence, the gameplay is rather dull and you may sometimes find yourself looking at the same static room for quite a long time, until you get the right solution. However, the riddles are designed in such a way as to be rather logical, which means that you can always sort of anticipate what the correct approach would be, if you can think about what you would do in a real situation.
In the end, Secret Files: Tunguska is a good strategy title, albeit rather non-original when it comes to some parts of the story and even a few of the puzzles. Despite that, there's a hefty amount of hours to go through, as well as many interesting plot twists that keep you guessing and wanting for more.
