Samurai of Hyuga Book 3 Demo

There are many famous things and concepts to come out of Japan and the Eastern part of the world, some of which are ancient, while others are about as modern as they get. Hence, while nowadays anime and hi-tech gadgets come to mind, back in the day it was samurais, ninjas and the weird bow people there use to greet one another. Granted, these concepts are still part of many stories and video games.

Samurai of Hyuga Book 3 is, as you can already tell from its name, the third episode of the saga, which means that you should probably be acquainted with the first two parts in order for this one to make more sense.

It’s not an absolute requirement, but it’s worth noting that you start with the option of having your character imported from the previous episode. You can create one on the spot, but there are many throwbacks and similar things that might confuse you as the story progresses.

Speaking of which, the story has you becoming a proper master of your trade, since it would be pretty annoying to start as a newbie yet again. There’s no individual storyline to follow along the way, since there are actually multiple possible routes and options, but in short you can investigate demonic mysteries, turn your character into a proper monster, or even become a judge and bring justice to the world.

As the rules of the “Choose your own adventure” genre dictate, choice is paramount, so what you say or do at every step affects in one way or the other what happens next. Not only that, but your character can acquire certain skills or weaknesses depending on your decisions, and there are also relationships that can form based on how you behave around certain people. Romance is a very distinct possibility as well, depending on whether you want to focus on this or not.

Lastly, multiple playthroughs are almost required to get the most out of the game, because that’s the whole point of a malleable story. You may not be able to experience the adventure in a visual way, but then again this is more like an interactive book, which means that your imagination can fill in the blanks wherever the details are sketchy or missing altogether.

Although Samurai of Hyuga Book 3 is obviously open to all players, it’s best experienced if you are already familiar with the first two episodes. Hence, the fans should find all they need to continue their adventures from where they left off.
