Sail Simulator 5 Demo
Explore the seas of the world in this realistic sailing simulator that allows you to take full control of your boat #Sail simulator #Sailing simulator #Raft simulator #Sail #Boat #Simulator
Although it seems peaceful and quiet on TV, the sea has yet to be tamed by anyone, which means that it can be extremely difficult to steer a veil boat when the water is unsettled. Things are not very easy when the ocean is calm either, especially if you intend on using the currents and the wind in order to move faster, such is the case with those who participate in racing championships.
Sail Simulator 5 allows you to experience the thrill of being out on the sea without having to get wet or put yourself in danger, which is arguably not as entertaining as the real thing, in theory. However, if you do not have the means to get to the ocean and take advantage of its capricious waves, you can at least pretend that you are out there and see whether you would be able to resist the stress.
The game is part of a pretty successful series, as it is quite obvious from the title. Over the years, the developers have managed to refine the simulation as much as possible, even if it is still not perfect yet. There are many factors and parameters to take into consideration when the sea and the wind are involved, so it is understandable that the simulation may never be too accurate anyway.
In order to navigate and steer the boat, you must make use of the veil and various other pulls and ropes, given the fact that there is no motor to talk about. You can use the mouse to manually click on the corresponding buttons, only to drag the object into the desired direction. As you can probably guess, this takes time and you may not have the luxury of time when the wind is harsh, so the keyboard must also come into play after you get used to it.
Technically, the game looks and feels exceptional, especially when it comes to the water and the waves. In fact, you are even liable to get seasickness if you play it for too long, because the simulation is quite convincing and the graphics are good enough to fool the eye most of the time. There are some problems with the veil and the player models, but nothing too serious and definitely not anything game-breaking.
All things considered, Sail Simulator 5 is not exactly a product for everyone, since it can be rather boring and tedious if you are not a fan of the sport. However, if you do enjoy sailing and you do not mind the long journeys across rather bleak environments, then this is definitely the game for you.
