Rooms: The Unsolvable Puzzle
Find your way to the exit by moving rooms around and using a variety of other tricks in this engaging puzzle game #Puzzle game #Solve puzzle #Adventure game #Adventure #Puzzle #Mansion
There are many different gameplay mechanics one can find in puzzle games, and they are all designed to be both challenging and intriguing. While it’s nice to tackle difficult puzzles and rejoice when you come up with a solution, the said puzzles must also be fun and original, otherwise most gamers would just dismiss them before they get a chance to experience the whole deal.
Rooms: The Unsolvable Puzzle is a tad different from the rest of the puzzle games out there, but it’s not a revolution in the genre either. Instead, it’s the type of experience that puts your mind to work in weird ways, while also providing you with engaging gameplay mechanics and an interesting story to keep you invested in the action.
Speaking of which, you play the role of a little girl by the name of Anna, who gets trapped in a huge mansion and needs to find a way out. Unfortunately for her, the mansion in question is also controlled by all sorts of magic powers, so it’s quite a challenge to find the exit, if there even is one. Over the course of the game, Anna gets to find out the whole story behind the mansion and the weird stuff that happens in it.
Most of the levels are the same, or at least their end goal is the same. Hence, you have to rearrange the rooms in the right order and help Anne get to the exit door, which leads you to the next stage. Various other gimmicks make an appearance along the way, such as telephones that allow you to teleport between rooms, or closets that somehow switch the location of two rooms in an instant.
These gimmicks are added gradually to the gameplay, in order to allow you to get familiar with the basics first. Even so, things get pretty difficult to follow after a while, especially when almost every object on the screen has some kind of utility. Granted, the biggest struggle remains the actual room movement, because it takes a bit of imagination to see how everything has to move in order to end up in the right place.
The best thing about Rooms: The Unsolvable Puzzle is its refreshing gameplay formula, because there are not many other games like it out there. The levels get increasingly more difficult after a while, so there’s even a challenge for those who are looking for one.
