Ravaged Demo
Use vehicles and a variety of weapons to defeat other players in this action-packed multiplayer FPS #First-person shooter #Multiplayer shooter #Vehicle shooter #Ravage #FPS #Multiplayer
Post-apocalyptic scenarios always manage to gather a crowd, somehow, especially if the idea is nicely put into practice and the presentation is good enough. Hence, whether it’s Mad Max or Fallout, people enjoy brown landscapes with no civilization in sight, other than old machines and all the guns a person can carry at once.
Ravaged is a multiplayer first-person shooter with a post-apocalyptic theme and an emphasis on vehicles, because they are the main attraction during the fast-paced online matches. However, there’s plenty of shooting going around as well, maybe even more than in your regular FPS, due to the fact that you do not really have to worry about ammo, or giving away your position.
To start off with, there are not too many modes to choose from, which is quite the shame, considering the amount of potential lying beneath the surface. Hence, you can either participate in classic deathmatch rounds and see who gathers the most frags or engage in more team-based challenges, with a heavy emphasis on the vehicles.
In case you curious about the underlying mechanics, you should know that the game behaves like a regular shooter, although it may be a bit inspired by titles like Borderlands and Rage. On the other hand, that might be just because of the similar environments, not to mention the fact that most multiplayer shooters feel the same in some regards. As previously mentioned, the vehicles make the difference, and they are indeed extremely fun to drive around.
From a technical point of view, the game looks very nice and it runs just as smooth, even if some glitches make an appearance every once in a while. The environments are very expressive and detailed, which makes for a memorable atmosphere and quite the good-looking battles. The same goes for the sound department, although nothing’s very memorable in this regard.
Unfortunately, Ravaged seems to lack popularity and there are not too many servers out there, which is quite the shame. However, this means that you won’t be able to enjoy it almost at all, except for the singleplayer modes, which are not nearly as fun as the ones against real people.
