Pound of Ground Demo

Pound of Ground is third person action game developed by a studio named Centauri Production and published by Bohemia Interactive .

Making a third person action title shouldn’t be too difficult, with all the powerful game engine that are available right now, but it turns out that’s not the case. Pound of Ground is at best a mediocre game that has nothing to show for. The engine is weak, the graphics terrible, and the price asked for it way too big.

To top all of these problems, the name “Pound of Ground” makes no sense. What does it mean? All the action seems forced, the storyline is a mess, and the overall quality is below par. Why would anyone spend money on this is beyond me?

Somewhere in the southern United States, a huge explosion is seen. Some say that an atom bomb went off, others that a UFO has crashed, and the official explanation is that a metrological balloon has been shot down by a farmer. Little is known about the incident, but the player is illuminated by a Mexican general, who seems to know the history of the events.

You take on the role of MJ, a resident of the fictitious city Snake City. Something goes wrong in his town, and dead are coming alive. Armed only with a bat (at first) he’s determined to get to the bottom of the problem.

You roam around various levels doing meaningless tasks and killing zombies. They drop gold coins, don’t ask why. When you’re done with helping a local farmer, she gives you a car, and you head towards the city. This is the extent of the demo, but it’s more than enough for anyone. It can’t get suddenly better after all of this.

The graphics are terrible, the animations are choppy, the main character can’t jump, and the only redeeming quality seems to the physics of the dead zombies.

In conclusion, Pound of Ground is a waste of anyone’s time, but if you really want to see how a bad game looks and feel, for research purposes, then this is the perfect example.
