Platform Game

Platform Game is a lightweight title that’s powered using Unreal Engine and designed to be a little exploration platformer with a minimalistic design. The goal of the entire thing is simple, you start at point A and you have to make your way to point B.

You begin your journey on a floating platform, surrounded by more floating blocks and structures so it becomes very clear that you will have to jump your way to wherever you need to go. Visually, Platform Game looks nice despite its rather harsh simplicity.

The world around you is built using cubes and cuboids of different shapes and sizes tjat float in solidarity or are welded together into some interesting forms. Since it’s created using UE, animations are smooth and gameplay works just fine as long as you get familiar with the controls

Platform Game might not look like much but as far as difficulty goes, it has plenty to surprise you with because finding your way is not always easy. Moreover, this one really leaves you the impression that it’s a precision platformer because some of the jumps need to be timed and performed carefully.

At its core, Platform Game is a decent game with a lot of potential for something really good but at the moment it needs a lot of polishing. The grappling hook gun animation is kind of awkward and when you use that particular mobility weapon, the character can’t stop jumping until he detaches from whatever he’s stuck to.

On a closing note, Platform Game is a bit rough around the edges and animations but overall, the idea on which it’s based is pretty solid. With a bit more work put into it can certainly turn into quite the challenging platformer.
