One Against 100 Planes Demo
Sit in the cockpit of a fighter jet and try to take down as many enemy planes as possible in this arcade flight simulator. #Flight simulator #Arcade shooter #Fighter jet #Plane #Jet #Dogfight
Fighter jets are a critical part of any army, because their agility and hefty arsenal can clear the road ahead for the infantry, as well as eliminate enemy aircraft. They require a lot of skill to be piloted properly, however, which is why the pilots undergo many years of training before they can fly any missions.
One Against 100 Planes is a simple flight simulator with arcade mechanics and straightforward ideas, which is meant to be enjoyed in short bursts and with no real expectations. The gameplay is as basic as it can get, while the technical capabilities of the engine use to render the graphics are minimal, but you can still have a few minutes of moderate fun every once in a while.
There are a couple of missions to choose from, none of which have a particular story or any kind of characters. The objectives vary from having to destroy the enemy planes, to bombing ground targets, such as tanks or buildings. No campaign is provided, nor are the conflicts or the environments inspired from any real sources, which might hurt the overall immersion factor.
Control-wise, the handling of the plane is atrocious, especially when it comes to sensitivity and responsiveness. You cannot use the mouse to steer the aircraft, which means that you have to make use of the directional keys on your keyboard. However, these only work using fixed increments, which makes it incredibly difficult to point the plane in the desired direction.
As previously mentioned, the graphics engine is nothing special, but it doesn’t look bad either. The bad part is represented by the level design, because the landscapes are barren and lacking in detail, given the fact that there is no vegetation, buildings, or anything else. The explosion and the special effects in general look quite primitive, so you should definitely not expect anything in this regard.
In the end, One Against 100 Planes is no jewel from any regard, but it can still be enjoyed if you do not have any kind of expectations. The controls might cause you to quit sooner rather than later, as might the fact that there’s nothing interesting going on in the scenarios.
