No More Probes

You’re an out of work Santa Claus impersonator in what looks to be a post-apocalyptic wasteland that is being invaded by hostile alien robots. Your job is to fill up your large bag with junk and then fashion it into some killer defense drones that can help you survive.

Its title, No More Probes, doesn’t say very much, but then again, this one isn’t your everyday game. Not only does it pack great looking retro graphics, it also challenges you to test your reflexes and coordination in a fast-paced survival game that’s loads of fun and unique.

Your character is an old but very agile man who has to fight for his survival as countless waves of alien robots are out to get him for no clear reason. He’s probably a hardcore scientist or an inventor because he can quickly go through piles of junk and in the blink of an eye, he can build and deploy some pretty impressive defense drones.

Although, before you actually get to gather the right amount of parts and implement your defense strategy, there is a lot of running around from the robots which can quickly kill you. Not only are they relentless, but they move much faster during the night and with every passing day, more and more gather.

From the wonderful scavenge and movement animations of your character to the world details and mechanics, No More Probes is a blast to play. Apart from running away from the alien robots, you’ll be dodging lava geysers, ‘wild’ defense turrets, poisonous mushrooms and even a creature that Star Wars fans will love to see.

From the first to the last pixel, No More Probes delivers great visuals and excellent sound effects. There are teleporters to use in your evasion tactics, totems to cheer you up and even the occasional treasure chest to open.

On a closing note, if you’re looking to have some fun (and rage a bit from time to time) feel free to try No More Probes. It’s the kind of game that looks great, runs smooth and it’s good clean fun all the way.
