Myths of the World: Behind the Veil is a hidden object adventure game in which you get to hunt evil spirits and prevent the end of the world using nothing but your wits and whatever you find around the environment. The casual gameplay mechanics are designed to be approachable by any type of gamer, regardless of whether you are just starting out or you are a veteran of the genre.

In short, the story revolves around the famous Dia de los Muertos, except that instead of a celebration you get to witness a disaster. Hence, your whole village is attacked by angry spirits, and your sister is also kidnapped in the process. The mission is to rescue your sister, as well as push the evil spirits back before it’s too late and the whole village is swallowed whole along with all the locals.

The gameplay formula is as old as the Sun itself, but the level designers managed to keep things interesting by integrating all sorts of mini-games and puzzles. While there still are plenty of hidden object scenes, they are masked as something else most of the time, which keeps the experience fresh. The Collector’s Edition also features unique collectibles that pop up all throughout the game.

Speaking of level design, almost everything you can admire along the way is hand-drawn, which means that the objects are very detailed without taking a toll on your system.
