Myst 4: Revelation Demo
In Myst IV Revelation, players finally learn the fate of Sirrus and Achenar, two villains first introduced in the original Myst #Myst 4: Revelation #Myst Revelation #Solve Mystery #Myst #Revelation #Adventure
The Myst series is among the most recognizable adventure games out there, especially since it has a long history of providing the fans with lengthy and well-crafted stories, filled with plot twists and memorable events. The puzzles that must be solved in order to advance are very difficult as well, although they are rewarding.
In Myst IV, some characters from the original title make a comeback and you get to tie up some loose ends from the beginning of the series. Thus, the two brothers who played the roles of the villains in the first game are the center of attention yet again, as their father, who trapped them between worlds, asks your help to check whether they have learned they lesson and are ready to come home, more than twenty years later.
Naturally, things go south pretty quickly and soon enough Atrus' daughter, Yeesha, disappears along with the brothers. Just like in the previous installments, your purpose is to travel between Ages, which are basically different dimensions, and dismantle the plot of the evil siblings, while rescuing the daughter in the process and helping Atrus with his family yet again.
The puzzles are yet another chapter that made the Myst franchise shine among the other adventure titles, since they were clever and complicated at the same time, with fairly logical solutions. Myst IV is no exception either, because it features some challenging riddles that should keep you thinking for quite some time, regardless of how experienced you are with the genre.
Because the game uses pre-rendered graphics in order to depict the many environments you have to visit throughout the story, a lot of work went into designing the landscapes and the objects that appear throughout the levels. There are also digital video sequences as well, in order to save disk space and spare your computer the work.
Myst IV may have been developed from the ground up by different developers than the original, but it is every bit as good, especially when it comes to the plot thickness and the puzzles put at your disposal. The graphic quality deserves an award on its own, due to the truly huge amounts of work that went into designing the environments.
