Meteor Mail is a pretty clever and interesting game, although its premise is a bit silly. As such, while the ideas concerning gravity and how it can be used to alter trajectories are pretty accurate, the fact that people would use such an advanced delivery system to send and receive letters is quite ridiculous. However, it’s all in the name of fun, so you can learn to ignore the futility of it all.

In essence, your main purpose is to send a probe from point A and help it reach point B in safety, by avoiding the obstacles in between. To do so, you can use gravity generators, which basically act like magnets and help the probe to curve its trajectory. This way, you can avoid asteroids and deadly black holes, while also learning a few things about physics.

Another interesting gameplay mechanic is the presence of wormholes, which are basically shortcuts in space itself. In essence, you can use them to pop from one point in space to the other, without having to deal with anything in between. Naturally, you must know exactly where are you going to come out on the other side, because the wormholes preserve your speed and energy.

As you manage to solve the puzzles, they become more and more intricate with each new level. The addition of black holes and moving objects makes it considerably more difficult to coordinate your movements, but since there is no time limit or any other significant rules, you are free to toy around with any kind of idea that comes to mind.

In the end, Meteor Mail is certainly better than your average indie puzzle game, in the sense that it is fully functional and it has a satisfying amount of content. It looks nice, and you only need a few minutes to get accustomed to the controls.
